Fax2Email provides you with a virtual fax number, allowing you to receive faxes directly to your email inbox instead to an ordinary fax machine. Fax2Email service is intended for both home and office users.
What are the requirements for the Fax2Email service? All you need is a valid email address and internet connection. No additional hardware is required.
Is a phone line needed to receive faxes? No. All you need is an email address and internet connection. However, a phone line in needed to send faxes.
Is it possible to receive faxes only from Fax2Email customers? No. You can receive faxes from any ordinary fax machine.
How to get started? You simply go to our homepage and follow the instructions provided.
First, select the country and city where you require the virtual fax number, and enter your email address for receiving faxes. Next choose your desired service period. Thereafter, you should select a single virtual fax number from the 3 options shown.
Important – for the final step in the registration process, a verification email will be sent to you. Please do not close this web page until you complete the registration process.
Once registration and payment has been completed, you are ready to receive faxes via your email address!
Do I have to pay for technical support? No. technical support is provided to Fax2Email costumers at no extra costs. You may contact our support team using My account>Support 24/7, or by phone during working hours listed on the contact us page.
Is the Fax2Email service secure? Absolutely. Access control is managed by username and password. The Fax2Email website is secured by SSL encryption, the most advanced technology for information protection. Additionally, all client data and transactions are transmitted via encrypted and secured lines to the credit card companies.
Is there a minimum usage period? Yes. The minimum usage period for the Fax2Email service is 1 (one) month.
What types of Fax numbers may be obtained for use with the Fax2Email service? * National Fax number – A national fax number refers to a number within a country that does not relate to a specific region (73).
* Regular Fax number – A regular fax number refers to a number within a country that relates to a certain region, locally and internationally.
* Gold Fax number – An easy-to-remember fax number recommended especially for use by friends, family members or office colleagues.
How can I be notified with an SMS message when a fax is received?
In order to be notified with an SMS message when a fax is received in your email inbox, please log in to your account using your username and password. After logging in, browse through the main menu and select My account.
Then, from the sub-menu on the left hand side of the page, click on Services. Select SMS from the tabs, enter your cellular phone number in the following order:
International dialing code(Without prefix)+Cellular dialing code(Without prefix)+Your cellular phone number.
For example:
With Cellcom your number should appear as follows: 972521234567
With Orange your number should appear as follows: 972541234567
When you are done, click on the checkbox in order to activate the service. To finalize, click update.
Please note, Our SMS service is in the beta stage and is therefore free of charge to our Fax2Email customers.
Is there a limitation on the number of faxes that may be received? An unlimited number of faxes can be received. There is a limitation on the faxes saved in the fax history. The system saves received faxes of the last 30 days.
In what format are the faxes received? All faxes are attached to receive emailsin PDF format.
Is it possible to receive faxes to XDA/PDA/Blackberry devices? Yes. You can receive faxes on any device that is able to receive emails.
What happens when two faxes are received at the same time? Both faxes will be received, just as emails would be. You can receive multiple faxes simultaneously on a single Fax2Email fax number.
Is it possible to receive faxes from international destinations? All Fax2Email fax numbers are able to receive faxesfrom international destinations.
Can I have different email addresses for my account login and for receiving faxes? Yes. You may assign different email addresses for both login and receiving faxes.
In order to change your login email address, please login to your account. Select from the main menu My account, and from the user menu to the left Personal>email address. When done, click save.
How do I change my email address for receiving faxes? From the user menu, select My Account>Services. Next, click on the email field, and add or change the desired email address. When finished, press Update. You can change the email address for each fax number. Please note that each fax number can be assigned up to five different email addresses.
Can I view my fax history? Yes. You can view your fax history online for the last 30 days. In order to allow saving faxes, select My account>Options and choose your preferred option. When done, click update.
Are the faxes received secured? Yes. You can set password protection for your faxes. When attempting to view the received PDF file, a password will be required before the fax content is displayed. The protection password can be set under My Account>Settings. When done click save.
Can faxes be received 24 hours a day? Yes. You may receive faxes during the day and night.
How do I view the received fax file? In order to view your fax file, you should have Acrobat reader software installed on your PC. You may download it from the Adobe website.
To how many email addresses can I receive faxes? For each fax number, you can assign up to 5 different email addresses. Under My Account>Services you will find an email address list. To change or add email address, click on the email field. Enter up to 5 different email addresses. Separate each address by clicking ENTER. When done click save.
How do I access my account? Enter our homepage and enter your registered email address and your password in the login fields.
How do I restore my password? On our homepage, click forgot password next to the login fields.
How do I change my password?
You can change your password under My account>Personal>change password. You will be asked to enter your old password and the new one. When done click change password.
What happens if I did not enable auto-renew and the service has expired? If the service expires, you will not be allocated the same virtual fax number when renewing the service. In order to avoid such an occurrence, please enable the auto-renew feature under My Account>Services.Note that a notice will be sent to your email address prior to service expiration.
When will you charge my credit card? Once you finalize your order. In case of a failure in a debit charge, the Fax2Email service will be in a pending mode until payment is completed.
How are periodic charges performed? Charging depends on the selected service period and auto-renewal option. For example, if a one month period is selected with the auto-renew option enabled, then payment is processed every one month. If a period of 12 months is selected, then payment is processed every 12 months, and so on.
Is monthly renewal necessary? It is necessary to renew the Fax2Email service when the period of service ends for each of the virtual fax numbers that you hold.
In addition, you may purchase different service periods starting with One month, 3, 6, 12 or 24 months.
Service renewal notice will be sent prior to service expiration.
For your convenience, service auto-renewal is available at anytime. To extend your fax numbers service period, please login to your account, choose from the user menu Options>Period, select the desired period and click save.
Changing service period will effect all the fax numbers in your account.
What payment methods are accepted? You may purchase the Fax2Email service via credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and DinersClub.
When do I pay the setup fee? The setup fee is added to the total sum of the payment on completion of the order.
